APARTMENTS

Staying at our Stay and Tokyo apartment felt like home even though it looks nothing like it. We had an enjoyable time in Japan thanks to the fact that this apartment was located at such a strategic place. We cooked a lot that’s for sure since we have an awesome kitchen available for us to use. The sleeping arrangement was cool since we got to experience sleeping in a futon giving us a taste of Japanese culture. We tend to tiptoe around the apartment too, as we noticed the warnings. The shower was also a delight as we get to enjoy hot showers on cold days.

Our second time to Tokyo in two years and this time was much more relaxed. The apartment is clean and the staff was welcoming and more than willing to help. Staying here gave us much more room than a hotel. Good and safe location, with and easy walk to the train station. My kids were able to explore in depths the area of the city that interested them. We would recommend Stay and Tokyo – we were travelling in a group of four!

We had such a lovely time in Tokyo! It was such a relief to be guided to a clean, comfortable apartment after our long journey. Everything in the apartment exceeded our expectations. The staff were especially friendly and answered questions about the Wi-Fi and invite us to several local events. We enjoyed Ueno park (seeing the Sakura in bloom!) and visiting Sky Tree Town the very most, though Shibuya at night is a must-see! Everyone has been generous and kind, exactly what you anticipate from the graciousness of the Japanese culture. Strongly recommend hitting up the local 7/11s for inexpensive but delicious food (and late-night snacks after drinks). Thanks, and gratitude to all the Tokyo Stay personnel who made our trip so relaxing and enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our stay in your apartment! The location for us was excellent because it was near to the place where our son is living in Tokyo. Also, it was easy to visit all kinds of places.

Really wonderful memory to stay in this apartment, which I found very clean and well furnished. Especially thank you for the great help to get back the lost camera from the bus station. If possible, I will go to Japan again maybe next year.

GUEST HOUSES

I came to Japan to pursue my dream of learning Japanese at a language school, and initially I was quite scared to share a house with five other people, since it was my first time leaving my parents’ house. However, everything went very smoothly, and I enjoyed my time here a lot. The position right near the Yamanote Line station gave me a lot of opportunities to explore the city, and that helped me feeling really in touch with Japanese culture. Besides that, sharing the house with other people wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be, and it actually proved to be a good opportunity for me to learn about other cultures. The cleaning staff made sure shared areas were always spotless, and that also saved me a lot of time.

After the long journey from my home country to Japan doing the self-check-in was very handy since my plane arrived in the middle of the night. I found the place very clean, and the staff would do regular cleanings in the shared areas and that meant not having to fight over that with the flat mates, an instance that sadly occurred to me in the past. Due to my poor knowledge of the Japanese language, I asked the Stay and Tokyo staff for help in many occasions, and they where always very caring and I don’t know what I would have done without them.

I’ve lived in Stay and Tokyo’s share house for almost three years while working odd jobs as an English teacher in Tokyo. I’ve had many flat mates come and go during my stay, but they were always the nicest people and in those rare instances in which some kind of issue would arise the Stay and Tokyo staff would always handle it very professionally. Not having to personally take care of bills, cleaning and small maintenances myself saved a lot of time from my already very busy schedule.

I stayed at the one of Stay and Tokyo’s share houses during my semester abroad in Tokyo, and I immediately found a new home there. Sharing the apartment with two other students meant a very convenient rent but without the downsides of sharing the common spaces with too many people. Not having to buy silverware and dishes was also very convenient for a short stay.

Living abroad was a little bit frightening at the start, however, I really enjoyed my time here in Tokyo. I lived in a share house with two other girls, and there was actually plenty of space for all of us. I was scared I would have had trouble sharing the kitchen and the bathroom, but I actually had no trouble at all utilizing those spaces. My room was very warm and cozy, and it helped me get through the chilly winter of Japan.

I was quite worried about my son, because he had never lived by himself. Before moving to Tokyo, he was unable to do basic household chores, since I was the one always taking care of those. But after a few months in a share house, he came back home having learned how to do the laundry, how to cook and how to take care of himself. I couldn’t believe it! I’m very proud of him and so grateful for the opportunity that living in Tokyo provided him.
